Henry Tolbert Whittenberg, 79, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Friday, November 15, 2013.
Henry was born on November 18, 1933 in Louisville, Kentucky. He owned and operated Whittenberg Photographic Supply in Louisville. Henry served in The United States Air Force and from then on, loved to fly. He was very proud to be the private pilot and chief of security for Governor Louie Nunn for many years.
He is survived by his daughters, Ginny Williams (Don) & Laurie Bates; twin brother, John Whittenberg (Pauline); half-brothers, Allen Whittenberg (Marilyn), & Gilbert Whittenberg; grandchildren, James, Nathan, & Daniel Williams, Adam & Joshua (Marissa) Whittenberg, Christian & Zachary Bates; and 2 great granddaughters, Gracie & Annabelle. He is preceded in death by his wife, Janet (Cease) Whittenberg; and his parents, H.C. Tolbert & Alda (Case) Whittenberg.
Cremation was chosen following Henry's wishes. A private family service will be held at a later date.
