Henry M. Gagel, 76 of Valley Station, entered the kingdom of heaven when he passed away in the comfort of his home on Friday, December 1, 2023. He was a 22 year army veteran and retired DOD police officer. Henry was a loving husband and devoted family man. He was always generous and kind with his time and had a willingness to help anyone in need. He loved his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren. He loved hunting, fishing, and working with his hands. He took delight in telling stories all day, many of which were about working on tanks, jumping out of planes, and recalling countless other adventures from his days in the military. He enjoyed playing games, especially cards, with his family, which he did all the way to the end. Even though he frequently changed the rules, you could always tell how much fun he was having by how often he was jokingly yelling "Cheater!" Henry will truly be missed by many. May he rest in the peace that he so greatly deserved.
