Henry M. Dowell

Henry M. "Butch" Dowell, Jr., 79, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2019. He retired from LG&E and enjoyed both camping and woodworking. Butch was always a handyman, capable of fixing almost anything.

He was born on August 8, 1939 in New Albany, Indiana. Butch was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jo Ann (Davis) Dowell; and parents, Henry Dowell, Sr., Thomas and Dolores Miller; brother, Jimmy Dowell.

Butch is survived by his sons, Tom Dowell (Amy), Todd Dowell (Jamie); sister, Phyllis; grandchildren, Rhiley, Kobe; and step-grandchildren, Jordan, Josh and Justin.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with his funeral service taking place at 6:00 p.m. Cremation will follow according to Butch's wishes.
