In Loving Memory of Henry Stewart Dixon

Henry Stewart Dixon, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023, at the age of 79. He was a resident of New Albany, Indiana, where he touched the lives of many with his warm smile and kind heart.

Born on February 5, 1944, in Cumberland, Kentucky, Henry was the son of Pearl and Virgie Dixon. He grew up alongside his siblings, Joseph, Norma, Jean, and Mildred, who shared many cherished memories together. Henry's childhood was filled with love and laughter, and he carried those values with him throughout his life.

Henry dedicated many years of his life to his career at Ford Motor Company in Louisville, where he worked diligently until his retirement. His strong work ethic and reliability earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues.

Outside of work, Henry had a zest for life and a genuine love for people. He was known for his outgoing nature and his ability to strike up a conversation with anyone he met. Henry never met a stranger and had a way of making everyone feel welcome and valued. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, particularly fishing and hunting, which brought him peace and tranquility. In his leisure time, he also found joy in watching Gunsmoke and following his grandchildren's various sporting events.

Above all, Henry's greatest joy in life was his family. He loved his wife of 49 years, Judy, deeply and they shared a bond built on love, trust, and mutual support. Henry was a devoted father to his children, Jeff, Scott, Chris, and Mary, and a doting grandfather to Ryan, Lizzie, Henry, Rachael, Katelyn, Ashley, and his great-granddaughters, Jordyn and Mia. He cherished every moment spent with them, creating lasting memories that will be treasured forever.

Henry's love extended beyond his immediate family, as he had a special fondness for his dog, Bee, who brought him companionship and joy throughout the years.

Henry Stewart Dixon leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and genuine connection. His warm smile, friendly demeanor, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
