Henry Clay Caruthers

Henry Clay "Zeke" Caruthers, 83, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2022. Zeke was an avid golfer and loved spending time out on the course. He had a passion for working on his home and enjoyed new remodeling projects.

He was born on July 7, 1939, in Scottsville, Kentucky, to the late McKinley and Pauline (Moulder) Caruthers. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Helen Anderson.

Zeke is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Marilyn Caruthers; children, Tony (Karen) Caruthers, Mike Caruthers, Tina Gray, Teasha (Danny) Watts, Missy (Rudy) Hardin, and Eric (Rose) Scharrer; sister, Jean (Cecil) Clark; 9 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Gathering will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Memorial Service will be at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Cremation was chosen following Zeke's wishes.
