Helene Bredehorst

Helene Antosh Bredehorst, age 100, of Prospect, Kentucky passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was a general ledger bookkeeper for CIT Corp for 25 years. Born in New York City, she lived in New Hyde Park, Long Island and Ridgewood, Queens, New York before retiring to Crestwood Village in Whiting, New Jersey in 1978, and then to Crestwood Manor in 2002. Helene was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and attended Southeast Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Bredehorst; her companion, Ed Smith; her parents, Stanislaw and Antonina Kuzalska Antosh; siblings, Charles, William, Rose, Cecilia and Carroll.

Helene is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Pippen (James); son, Alan Bredehorst (Susan); four grandchildren, David, Laura, Alison and Halima.

Visitation will be 4 - 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive. Funeral services will be 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date beside her beloved husband Henry at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown, New Jersey.
