Hattie Marie Coones, 69, passed away on February 14, 2023. She was a registered nurse for over 30 years. Hattie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved crossword puzzles, reading, traveling to visit family and watching UofL basketball.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Rosa May Coones and her sister, Betty Webb.
Hattie leaves to cherish her memories, nephew, Larry (Betty) Webb; nieces, Mary Jane Walker and Terri (Ken) Stallings; great-nephews, Brian (Cassie) Webb, Michael (Nikki) Webb, Christopher Stallings and Anthony (Sarah) Stallings; great-nieces, Alisha (Israel) Stewart and Nina (Chris) Woodcock; 12 great-great-nieces and nephews; fur babies, Elvira and Buu and a host of cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, February 20, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 1pm-4pm with a celebration of Hattie's life beginning at 4pm.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to WHAS Crusade for Children, 520 W Chestnut St, Louisville, KY 40202, or The Shamrock Pet Foundation, P.O. Box 24033, Louisville, KY 40224-0033 in Hattie's memory.
