Harry Hans Tetzlaff
August 28, 1933 — February 10, 2023
Harry Tetzlaff, 89, of Louisville Kentucky passed away on Friday February 10, 2023.
He was born on August 28th to Hans and Frieda Tetzlaff in Breslau, Germany. He was preceded in death by Rosemarie, his beloved wife of 63 years, as well as his parents and five siblings.
Harry is survived by his daughter Angela (Bill) O'Daniel and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
Harry had a lifelong passion for learning and reading. He enjoyed the opera, traveling and handicapping the thoroughbreds at the racetracks.
He graduated from the University of Louisville with a degree in Chemistry.
Harry retired from a long career with General Electric and continued with G.E. as a consultant many years after. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
The Church Service will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at St. James Catholic Church 1826 Edenside Avenue, Louisville, KY 40204 from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. There will be a Celebration of Life following the service at St. Brigid Catholic Church 1520 Hepburn Ave, Louisville, KY 40204 from 6:30 pm -8:30 pm.
Please join us for refreshments and raise a glass to a life well lived.
The family requests that any contributions in Harry's memory be made to either St. James Catholic Church, Louisville, KY or to Old Friends Thoroughbred Retirement Farm at Oldfriendsequine.org
