Harry Douglas Kemp, Jr., 70, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023. Doug was a talented man with many passions. He was a skilled oil painter who gifted his paintings to his loved ones. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and remodeling cars. Above all, Doug loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was born on June 9, 1953 in New Albany, Indiana to Harry and Kathyrin Kemp. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Danny and Mark Kemp.
Doug is survived by his loving daughters, Shannon (Robert) Hall; Katherine (Timothy) Dukes, and Teresa Lee; grandchildren, Nicole Dukes, Ricky (Monica) Dukes, Kristin Dukes, Dylan Dukes, Joshua Kemp, Kourtni Linne, Cory Linne, Chance Hall, James Kempe, Samantha McClure, Tyco Lee; great-grandchildren, Autumn Dukes, Kayden Dukes, Zola Dukes, Skylar Linne, Oliver Coleman, Athena Coleman, Artemis Kempe; sisters, Linda (Allen) Kumm and Robin Kemp; brother, Ed Kemp; and many other family and friends.
