Harley Scott Risinger age 64, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on September 30, 2024. He was a deeply devoted father, brother, and cherished Papa to his grandchildren. Harley embodied a spirit of patriotism and held a special bond with his fellow veterans. His compassionate nature led him to support anyone in need, reflecting his strong character and unwavering principles. Those who had the privilege of knowing Harley will undoubtedly feel his absence.
Born on August 2, 1960, in Louisville, Kentucky, Harley was the beloved son of the late Gilbert Risinger and Thelma Pitcock, as well as a brother to the late Verlin Flaherty and Larry Flaherty.
He is survived by his loving family, including his sons Josh (Amanda) Risinger and Andrew (Misaki) Risinger; his sisters Linda Wright, Vanessa (Glenn) Miller, and Sandra Whitenack; loving grandchildren Nio Risinger, Sho Risinger, Gracee Gallahue, and Shane Kahl; along with a host of extended family and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, located at 10304 Dixie Highway. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the same location.
