Hank W. Kerr, age 46 of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013. He was a Sergeant with Eastwood Fire Department for 25 years. He was also a member of the Mine Rescue and the Water Rescue Teams, and an E.M.T. for 20 years. He attended Beulah Land Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His grandchildren referred to him as "Papaw". He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Dorsey Fern Rodgers Kerr.
Hank is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, the former Hope Ashcraft "Opal"; daughter, Lisa Kerr-Caswell (Kevin); sons, Adam Kerr (Kaysi) and Cody Kerr (Shelby); grandchildren, Karlie, Rilie, Bristol, Brelynn, Brantley, and an angel to arrive soon; brothers, Stanley Kerr, Jr., Troy Kerr, Scott Bohannon; sisters, Sharon Griner, Laverne Neal, Jenny Seay; step-mother, Nancy Kerr; and mother-in-law, Edna Ashcraft. He is also survived by a host of relatives and friends, and his best friend Bella.
A Celebration of Hank's Life will be 11am Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-8pm, Friday 10am – 8pm and Saturday after 9:30am until time of service.
