Hallam Wade McStoots, Sr., 70, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2018. He was a member of Central Christian Church in New Albany and had a love and interest for learning about his religion as a Christian. Hallam loved history and was an avid UK Wildcat basketball fan.
He was born on December 12, 1947, in Grayson County, Kentucky, to the late Wade M. and Eloise (Berkley) McStoots. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Russell McStoots.
Hallam is survived by his wife, Janice D. (Hamilton) McStoots; son, Hallam W. McStoots, Jr. (Lori); stepchildren, Kim Baumann (Scott), Todd Corley (Danielle), and Tim Corley (Lauren); 8 grandchildren, Mallory, Gavin, Sophia, Bryce, William, Zoe, Charlotte, and Eva; and sisters, Sharon Mitchell (Donnie) and Starley Peak.
Visitation will be on Sunday, July 1, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana). His Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 2, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with burial and military honors to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
