Guy F. Coleman

Guy F. Coleman, 80, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025. Guy was a loving husband, dad, papaw, and friend. He loved working on cars which he passed down to his son and grandson. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, tending his garden, and most of all spending time with his family. He retired from Valu Market after 35 years of service. Guy will truly be missed by all who knew him.

He was born on June 21, 1944 in Louisville, Kentucky to Guy and Lillian (Hazel) Coleman. He is preceded in death by his Father, Lonerd Mansfield and Mother, Lillian Frances Mansfield.

Guy is survived by his loving Wife of 60 years, Mary Ella Coleman; Children, David E. Coleman and Sharon A. Coleman-Brown (Michael Brown); Grandchildren, Kayla Murphy (Addam), Haley Brown, and David G. Coleman (Angel); 7 Great-Grandchildren, as well as a host of family and friends to cherish his memory forever.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Visitation will continue on Monday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. His Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Monday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville, Kentucky.

The family requests that contributions in Guy’s memory be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
