Gregory Whitaker, 70, of Taylorsville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023.
Greg retired from P & L Railroad after 20 plus years. In his free time he enjoyed being outdoors; camping, fishing, going to the lake and working on cars.
He was born on October 1, 1953 in Jeffersonville, Indiana to the late Mack and Marie (Richie) Whitaker.
Greg is survived by his loving family sons, Roy (Amy) Whitaker and Derek (Keri) Whitaker, grandchildren , Jacob Whitaker, Jackson (Danielle) Whitaker, Jenna Whitaker and Jace Whitaker, siblings, Sanford (Vaye) Whitaker, Sandy Brooks and Richard (Ruth) Whitaker and several nieces and nephews that will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 17th at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Greg will be laid to rest privately in Charlestown Cemetery.
