Gregory Leonard Rhodes

Gregory Lenard Rhodes, 70, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, July 28, 2023. Gregory was a hard working individual, a family man through and through, and always the life of the party. He was the best yard man you could find, he loved to painting, basketball, and being outdoors fishing. He attended Pleasant View Baptist Church where he also began his time in Boy Scouts. He graduated from Ahrens Trade School and went on to work at International Harvester for many years. Gregory will truly be missed by anyone and everyone who had the honor of knowing him.

He was born on June 21, 1953 in Louisville, Kentucky to Thomas and Clysta (Ferguson) Rhodes. He is preceded in death by his Father, Thomas Hester Rhodes, Sr., Mother, Clysta E. Rhodes, Siblings, Dorothy Jean Smith, William Thomas Rhodes, and Carl Alexander Rhodes.

Gregory is survived by his loving family, Siblings, Clysta L. Battle, Gwen E. (John Deceased) English, Joshua M. (Judy) Rhodes, Rickie E. (Wanda) Rhodes, Anita (Robert Lee) Bailey, and Chroya Rhodes, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends to cherish his memory forever.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Wednesday August 9, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Celebration of Life Service will be at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Green Meadows Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
