Gregory John Kleinke, 60, of Georgetown, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2014. Retired from the U. S. Army, Greg received a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Care Management from Southern Illinois University and a Masters' Degree in Public Administration from Western Kentucky University. A veteran of Desert Storm in Iraq, Greg served his country for 20 years and retired from Fort Knox as the NCOIC of Preventive Medicine. He also worked in the Floyd County Sheriff's Department, as a Quality Control Manager for Rally's, and as Director of Public Health for Oldham County. Greg was involved in the Kentucky Center for the Arts and active in the Gold Wing Road Riders Association. He cherished his time with us, and we cherished our time with him.
Greg was born on June 6, 1953, in Bremen, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Kleinke, and his mother, Laura (Berger) Kleinke.
A loving husband and father, he leaves behind his wife, Mary Ellen Kleinke; daughter, Sandra (Kleinke) Jones; son, Alex Kleinke; siblings, Ken Kleinke, Sue (Kleinke) Meyne, and Ann (Kleinke) Sherrick.
