Gregory Dennis

Gregory Dennis, 59, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2022. He had many talents, which included do-it-yourself projects, working on cars, cooking, and drawing. Greg was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing basketball, fishing, and spending time outside.

He was born on June 16, 1962, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late John and Donnie (Terry) Dennis. In addition to his parents, Greg was preceded in death by his wife, Tina (Gettelfinger) Dennis.

Greg is survived by his children, Ebony Jeffries, Samantha Pitts, and Samuel Pitts (Star Matlock); siblings, Alvin Dennis, Donnell Dennis, Sr., Patricia Iverson, JoAnne Dennis, Yvonne McMath (Clay C), Shirley Williams (Larry), Ann Dennis, and Jennifer Dennis; sisters-in-law, Lorena Gettelfinger and Angel Hume (Ismel); grandchildren, Antonio Evans, Jr., Amir Evans, and Addison Pitts; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Greg's wish was to be cremated, and Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) was entrusted with his care. He will be laid to rest privately at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
