Gordon Nettle

Gordon Marvin Nettle, 72, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Friday, June 25, at his residence in New Albany, Indiana. Gordon was a retired automotive parts salesperson for General Auto. He was an active volunteer and member of Advent Christian Church in New Albany. Gordon was a wonderful dad and granddad.

Gordon was born on April 8, 1938 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Marvin P. and Maxine M. (Briscoe) Nettle. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne M. (Morgan) Nettle.

Gordon is survived by his son, Gordon E. Nettle and his wife, Sheri of Georgetown; and one grandchild, Travis E. Nettle of Georgetown.

The visitation will be 3 PM to 8 PM Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at Newcomer Funeral Home – Southern Indiana Chapel (formerly Generations Funeral Home at 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana) and after 10 AM Wednesday at Advent Christian Church, 2129 Shelby St., New Albany. His Funeral Service will be at 11 AM on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at the church. Burial will follow at Edwardsville Cemetery in Georgetown.
