Gordon Denver Chaffins, 80, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2024. Gordon was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time bowling, golfing, and was an avid UK fan. Gordon proudly served his country in the US Air Force. He will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
He was born on November 20, 1943 in Garrett, Kentucky to Mark and Maude (Duff) Chaffins. He is preceded in death by his Father, Mark Chaffins; and Mother, Maude Chaffins.
Gordon is survived by his loving Wife of 55 years, Leslie Ruth Chaffins; Sons, Shandy Chaffins, Tristan Chaffins; Grandson, Shane Chaffins, Granddaughter, Sierra Hoffman.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway. A celebration of his life will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, will burial to follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, Kentucky.
