Gloria L.(Langello) Jones

Gloria L. (Langello) Jones, 76, a devoted and loving mother, of New Albany, passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2011. Gloria retired from the Census Bureau after 20+ years of service and was a U.S. Marine veteran. She had many dear friends and always showed compassion to all she met.

Gloria was born on December 24, 1934 to the late Charles J. and Louise (Fortier) Langello. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Paul A. Jones and brother, Charles Langello.

She is survived by her children, Timothy R. Jones (Sheila Peyton) of Lanesville, Ricky P. Jones of Jeffersonville, Brian J. Jones of Corydon, Alan J. Jones (Pamela) of New Albany; stepdaughter, Jeanette Metheny of Clarksville; grandchildren, James L., Charles S., and Nicole R. Jones; and friend, Kitty Stone.

Memorial Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Memorial Service will be 7 PM Wednesday evening in the Paul F. Kraft, Sr. Memorial Chapel at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
