Gloria Gillespie, 80, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
Gloria was retired after working for the state for over 30 years. Gloria was a loving care taker of her animals whom she adored. Gloria was full of humor and life and could always bring a smile to the room. Gloria will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
She was born on May 16, 1943 in Harrodsburg, Kentucky to Garnett and Dorothy (Sims) Sanders. She is preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Sanders; father, Garnett Sanders; brother, Donald Sanders; and her husband, Joseph Gillespie.
Gloria is survived by her sons, Steven (Karen) Lockridge, Scott Lockridge, and Scott Gillespie; along with a loving host of family and friends.
The family requests that contributions in Gloria's memory be made to the American Cancer Society or the Kentucky Humane Society.
