Gloria Rosalind Fayson

FAYSON, Gloria Rosalind, 80, of Louisville, passed away April 30, 2023. Born in Queens, NY on December 5, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Wilbur and Marguerite Smith. She moved to Long Island when she was six years old, and also lived in Virginia, and moved to Louisville after the passing of her husband, Donald. She was a retired administrative professional from D.T.C.C., as well as Metropolitan Life Insurance Company.

Gloria loved to cook, classical R&B music, spending time with her beloved family, she loved family barbecue get togethers, and she absolutely loved to drink her rum! Gloria also loved going to the casino, loved to travel, and enjoyed going out to eat.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Alex Mobley, Sr. and Donald Fayson; her children, Alex Mobley and Lisa Jones; sisters, Dawn and Kim Smith; and her nephew, Richard Susewell.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her brother, Wilbur Smith 'Butch' (Yolanda 'Tee'); several grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm.
