Glenna Marie (Wood) Beasley, 98, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022. Caring for, loving, and spending time with her family brought Glenna great happiness. She enjoyed bird-watching and was an avid reader.
She was born on April 21, 1924, in Dayton, Ohio, to Norman and Margaret (Simpson) Wood. In addition to her parents, Glenna was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Pat" Beasley; daughter, Sandra (Durbin) Green; and sister, Dorothy Bourne.
Glenna is survived by her children, Mary Keller (Mark) and Robert N. Beasley (Linda); grandchildren, Michelle Birdsong (Vernon), Angela Erler (Steve), Chris Durbin (Taryn), Sara Keller, Kristen Thompson (Sam), John Beasley, James Beasley, Patrick Beasley, and Phillip Beasley (Sarah); nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews.
A reception of family and friends will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with a memorial service taking place at 1:00 p.m. Glenna was laid to rest at Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.
Contributions in Glenna's memory may be made to the Salvation Army - Angel Tree Program (2300 Green Valley Road, New Albany, IN 47150).
