Glenn Urban Dohn

Glenn Urban Dohn, age 64 of Shepherdsville, passed away suddenly Monday, July 15, 2013. He was a 1968 graduate of Millersburg Military Institute, where he served as a Sergeant Major. He was a member of Lights Out Outdoors and was an avid hunter and outdoorsman, including his third love, his home on Nolin Lake. He was also a certified diver. He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Dohn; and his brother, Charles "Butch" Dohn.

Glenn is survived by his loving wife of 17 years Patricia; children, Eric Dohn, Amy Glenn Williams (Phillip), Vanessa King Vargas (Rigo); his nephew David Dohn, who he cherished as a son and his wife Thrissie; mother, Mary Marshall; grandchildren, Danielle and Nate Williams, and Clara Rose Dohn; siblings, Danny Dohn (Marsha), Andy Dohn (Linda), and Susan Cook (Jim). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Also missing him will be Libby Louise.

A Celebration of Glenn's Life will be 7pm Friday, July 19, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive with visitation there from 4pm until time of service.

Memorials may be made to Lights Out Outdoors to provide materials and training for children's outdoor sporting activities.
