Glenn Wilson Rawlings, Sr., 78, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2022. He was a United States Army veteran that served his country during the Vietnam War and was a longtime member of Masonic Lodge #39.
He was born on August 21, 1943, in New Albany, Indiana, to Theodore and Lorene "Ruby" (Hess) Rawlings. In addition to his parents, Glenn was preceded in death by his siblings, Ted, Phyllis, Mike, and Dick; and stepdaughter, Tammy.
Glenn is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Katherine (Nichol) Rawlings; children, Glenn Rawlings, Jr., Michele Beck, and Denise Farnsley; sisters, Carolyn Burres, Barbara Richardson, and Janet Snyder; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Friday after 11:00 a.m. His funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home with cremation to follow according to Glenn's wish. He will be laid to rest privately with military honors at New Albany National Cemetery.
