Glenn Evans Freiberger, 62, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday morning, May 9, 2018. After graduating from Butler University, Glenn began a 40-year career in pharmacy where he went on to retire from K-Mart in New Albany and also worked for Rite Aid. He was the long-time president of the Floyds Knobs Conservation Club and had also served as the treasurer for the Floyds Knobs Community Club. Glenn was a family man at heart and instrumental in the Freiberger family gatherings for the Fourth of July and Easter.
He was born on February 15, 1956, in New Albany to Evans and the late Betty (Kerstiens) Freiberger. Along with his father, Glenn is survived by his brothers, Duane Freiberger (Mary Jane) and Charles Freiberger (Patti); nieces and nephews, Jeff (Lisa), Mary Lou, Logan, Katey (Mike), and Kelly; and great-nieces and -nephews, Spencer, Parker, Rayden, and Rayna; as well as many cousins and good friends.
Cremation was chosen following Glenn's wishes. A reception of family and friends will be 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 17, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
