Glenda Fay Basham Cook

Glenda Fay Basham Cook, 66, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2022. Glenda was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend. She had a passion for doing hair, shopping, and flowers. Glenda was always willing to help anyone in need. She will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.

She was born on June 10, 1956 in Louisville, Kentucky to Dellar and Lucille (Flatt) Basham. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Eddie Basham.

Glenda is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, John Cook; son, Jerry Wayne (Stacey) Adair, Jr.; brothers, Mike Basham and Ricky Basham; sister, Cindy (Victor) Jackey; as well as a host of extended family and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions-Southwest Louisville Chapel. A Celebration of her life will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Mt. Holly Cemetery in Fairdale, Kentucky.
