Glen Edward Roark, 90, of Georgetown, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. Glen was a 1956 graduate of Eastern Kentucky College where he earned his degree in Engineering. He worked for L&N Railroad and eventually CSX Railroad for over 40 years until his retirement. Glen established Highland Kennels where he raised and bred Llewellin Setters that were sent all over the world. He was a charter member of the National Llewellin Gun Dog Club and was proud to be a Kentucky Colonel. He was a faithful member of Indian Creek Baptist Church.
Glen was born on March 8, 1934 in Harlan County, Kentucky to the late LH Roark and Martha Logsdon Roark. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Mary Frances Roark; and son, David Glen Roark.
Glen's family would like to thank the Visiting Nurse Association, the Heart Failure Clinic, Leah at Mathes Pharmacy, St. Croix Hospice, Guerin Woods, Indian Creek Baptist Church, Floyd Cardiac Rehab and his many friends for all of their support.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at Wolfe Cemetery in Georgetown, Indiana. Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN) was entrusted with his care.
