Glen M. Greer, born in Lebanon, Kentucky, and longtime resident of Louisville, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, June 12th. Glen led a remarkable life of service, laughter, and cherished moments with family and friends.
After proudly serving his country in the Army, Glen pursued a successful career in finance and accounting. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and active in the Louisville Emmaus Community. Glen touched many lives through his service on multiple Emmaus weekend walks and his involvement in the Residence Encounter Christ program.
Glen's 60-year marriage to Margaret ("Margee") Greer was a testament to enduring love and partnership. Together, they shared a passion for travel, exploring destinations across the United States and abroad, including memorable trips to Europe, Germany, Switzerland, and the Caribbean. Glen cherished the serene beauty of Lake Cumberland finding joy in outdoor pursuits. Known for his kind heart and sense of humor, Glen had a gift for brightening any room he entered. He was adored by his extensive family, including nieces, nephews, brothers, sisters, godchildren, and a vast circle of friends who will fondly remember his warmth and kindness. Each Christmas, Glen welcomed everyone into his home for a cherished annual gathering.
His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those whose lives he touched with his generosity and compassion.
A service will be held at St. Paul United Methodist Church on Tuesday, July 9th at 1:00 p.m., 2000 Douglas Boulevard, Louisville, Kentucky, 40205.
