Gilbert "Gil" George Herbig Jr., 65, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2022.
He was born on July 24, 1956 in Louisville, Kentucky to Gilbert George Herbig, Sr. and Mary Patricia(Kehl) Herbig.
Gil is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Teresa "Terry" Lynn Herbig, daughter, Michelle West, father, Gilbert George Herbig, Sr., mother, Mary Patricia Herbig, brothers, Kenny (Ghada) Herbig, Chris Herbig, Richie Herbig, sister, Joyce (Sam) McCubbins as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Newcomer Cremation, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243).
Mass will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at St. Benedict's Catholic Church (1240 Matha Avenue Louisville, KY 40215) with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
The family requests that contributions in Gil's memory be made to Alley Cat Advocates and/or Masses for the Deceased.
