Geraldine "Gerri" Allen

Geraldine "Gerri" Allen, 78, of Corydon, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024. Gerri was a proud member of Lanesville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and most importantly spending time with her grandchildren.

She was born on December 21, 1945 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Nathan Moore and Angela Heitzman. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa Gehlbach; and sister, Carolyn Powers.

Geraldine "Gerri" is survived by her loving husband, Wayne Allen; daughter, Danette Cain; grandchildren, Carissa (Randy), Emily, Madison (Andrew), and Kamryn (Gio); great grandchildren, Ayree, Chance, Morgan, Thomas, Saddie, Nyxie, and Wrenly; sister, Margaret (Richard) Steele; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, March 18, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150) and Tuesday from 12:00 pm until the time of service. Her funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Lanesville Protestant Cemetery in Lanesville, Indiana.

The family requests that contributions in Gerri's memory be made to Lanesville United Methodist Church.
