Geraldine Ann Cooper
July 18, 1949 — June 16, 2022
A retired Administrator for Disabled American Veterans, died on June 16, 2022 at 72 years old after a long battle with COPD in Louisville, Ky. GerriAnn is survived by her children, Michael E. Neal of Louisville, KY and Jason S. (Stephanie) Cooper of Ft. Knox, KY; daughter in-law, Katheren Neal; grandchildren, Hiahwahnah Richard ( Michelle) Neal III of Henryville, IN, Alyce Neal of Grand Forks, ND, Christoffer (Pam) Neal of Durant, OK, Rebekah Neal of Louisville, KY, Jason Cooper II of Jeffersonville, IN and Alexis Cooper of Ft. Knox , KY. She left behind, eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
She was greeted at the gates by her oldest son, H.R. Neal Jr. and her siblings, Betty Ruth Cooper, Patricia Ann Cooper, Norma Jean Cooper, Donald Eugene Cooper and June Louise Cooper, all of whom she deeply missed. GerriAnn was born in San Bernardino, CA on July 18, 1949 to Beryl Ross and Viola Mae Cooper.
She was a devoted mother that dedicated her life to her family. She engrained in them a sense of compassion, selflessness and service to others. GerriAnn was a devoted mother, grandmother, Christian and friend. She cherished the time she was able to spend with loved ones. She assisted with her church in many ways; bookkeeping, cleaning, or any other task to spread the word of God. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
GerriAnn requested that no service be scheduled. The family hopes that all those who cared for her will reflect back on their memories and hold her in their hearts. For those that wish to send expressions of sympathy, please send donations to the KY Humane Society.
