Gerald Lee Thomas Reid, Jr.

Gerald Lee Thomas "Jerry" Reid, Jr. age 61 of Louisville, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022. Jerry was a graduate of South Louisville Christian School. He formerly worked at Gamble Brothers Cabinetry and the Courier Journal. He loved God, his family and his country, playing the guitar, fishing and telling jokes. He was a former member of Christ Apostolic Church and Calvary Apostolic Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Reid, Sr.

Jerry is survived by his daughter, Jennifer; grandchildren, Cameron and Chloe; his mother, Patricia Higgs Reid; sister, Mary Reid; brothers, Michael Reid (Tammy) and David Reid (Yolanda); 3 nephews, Brandon, Caleb and Camden; 4 nieces, Jessica, Caleigh, Camille and Cadence; and one great-nephew, Tiny Rick; and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 11am to 1pm on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243 with a celebration of Jerry's life there at 1pm. Burial will follow in Floydsburg Cemetery, Crestwood, Kentucky.
