Gerald Ramont Crook

Gerald Ramont Crook, 53, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022. Gerald was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and UofL fan. Gerald will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

He was born on May 29, 1969 in Louisville, Kentucky to Al and Yvonne (Crook) Hoskins. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Gerese Crook; father, Al Hoskins; brothers, Darrell "King Boo" Crook, Frederick "Peanut Butter" Crook; and grandmother, Minnie Gilbert.

Gerald is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Pamela Crook; mother, Yvonne Strain; daughters, Shawnta Crook, Tiera Crook, Paige; grandchildren, Noriya Carter, Tashauna Anderson, Tyonna Anderson, Tyshaun Anderson, Tyjhaun Anderson, Tyrese Anderson; brothers, James Crook, Darnell Crook; as well as a host of extended family and friends to cherish his loving memory forever.

Visitation will be on Monday, November 21, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). A Celebration of Life will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel.

The family requests that contributions in Gerald's memory be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
