George W. Warren, Sr., 72, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2013. George was a veteran of the U. S. Coast Guard and Army.
George was born on January 18, 1941 to the late George N. and Iona (Redden) Warren. He was also preceded in death by his son, George W. Warren, Jr., and sisters, Jean Reed and Glenda Hayes. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca (Snelling) Warren; daughter, Lori Roper; sister, Gayle Collins (John); brother, Jackie Warren; three grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 AM to 1 PM on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with his Funeral Service at 1 PM. Burial with military honors will take place at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the family.
