George "Dennis" Spitz, 76, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on June 5, 2023.
He was born on November 5, 1946 in Evansville, Indiana to the late Lillian Jeanette Spitz and Louis George Spitz. He was a 1964 graduate of North High School in Evansville. Dennis worked for 40 years with Toyota Prolift Industrial Equipment's Louisville location. He united in marriage with Ms. Alice Gray on March 20, 1994, the couple shared almost 30 years together. Dennis loved spending the weekend out on his houseboat, Attitude Adjustment.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 29 years, Alice Spitz; daughters, Tiffany Spann of St. Louis, MO, Brenda Klingler of Fremont, MI, Melinda Holmes of Louisville, and Teresa Cash of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Abby Cook, Corissa Klingler, Jessica Stump, Cody Turner, Connor Turner, and Calina Bartley; great grandchildren, Nathan and Layla Stump; sister, Debby Nash (Brad) of Evansville, IN; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his mother and father, Dennis is preceded in death by his best friend, Willie "Wally" Pratt.
Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the service time at 12 PM on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Westport Road Baptist Church (9705 Westport Rd, Louisville, KY 40241). Burial will take place at Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville after the service on Thursday.
