George Raymond Owens, age 71 of Louisville, formerly of Eminence, Ky., passed away Tuesday, December 02, 2014. He was a graduate of Eminence High School and was formerly employed with Fischer Packing. George was an Army Veteran. He was an avid pool player, participated in many tournaments and received numerous awards for his professional ability. He loved fishing, his family and his friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Ruth Smith.
George is survived by his siblings, Anna Lindsay (John), Howard Lee Smith (Frances); nieces and nephews, Howard Smith, Jr., Ivette Lindsay, Shannon Lindsay and Cedric Lindsay (Janet); great-niece, Courtlynn; also a host of family and friends.
A memeorial service will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 2:00p.m. at the 1st Baptist Church located at 5706 South Main Street in Eminence, Kentucky 40019.
