George Samuel Parrish Jr., 59, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2013. He was a member of the Regulators Club and enjoyed basketball, hunting and fishing.
George was born on December 20, 1953 in New Albany, Indiana to the late George Sr. and Katie Mae (Duncan) Parrish. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Rae (Williams) Parrish, his daughter, Lakisha Williams and his son Tyrell.
He is survived by his children, Sharae Parrish (Louisville) and Sheila Williams (Columbia, Tn.); siblings, Rebecca Stewart, Denise Parrish Beckwith (Robert), Melvin (Mary), Donald (Karen), Richard (Thosha), Kenny (Brenda), Mike and Phillip Parrish; grandchildren Denietra and Jerroderick Green ( Columbia Tn.).
Visitation will be from 11:30 AM to 1 PM on Friday, November 8, 2013 at Galatian Baptist Church (2020 Maryland Ave. New Albany) with his Funeral Service being held at 1 PM. Burial will follow at West Haven Cemetery in New Albany, Indiana.
