George Harmon

George E. Harmon, 70, of Floyds Knobs passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2010. He was a member of New Beginnings Community Church and a member of the church board. He retired from Uhl Truck Sales in 2006. George was born on April 17, 1940.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marie V. (Dun ) Harmon; daughter, Sara Amos (Glenn) of Carmel, IN; son, George B. Harmon (Christiana) of Indianapolis, IN; sisters, Frances Safford (Emory) of Zionsville, IN and Winifred Harmon of Zionsville, IN; grandchildren, Glenn, Jr. and Hope Amos, Jacob and Leah Harmon.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 3 to 7 PM at New Beginnings Community Church (104 Wooded Valley Drive, New Albany, IN 47150) and Wednesday from 11 AM until Service time. The Funeral Service will be 1 PM on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at the church followed by burial in the Galena Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund at his church.
