George F."Buzz" Huth

George F. "Buzz" Huth, 77, loving husband and great father, died Monday, June 18, 2012. He loved gardening and working out in his manicured lawn. Buzz also enjoyed bird watching, hunting, and fishing. He retired from General Electric in Louisville after 40 years of service and was a member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church.

Buzz was born on July 28, 1934 in Floyds Knobs to the late George G. and Frances M. (Sprigler) Huth. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Beverly Ann Huth; sisters, Imogene and Alvaria Huth, Darlene Mahan; grandson, George "Allan" Huth.

He is survived by his wife of over 59 years, Betty J. (Masterson) Huth; children, George E., Betsy, Edward (Susan Wagoner), Michael Huth; brother, Myron Huth (Sue); grandchildren, Kevin Sorrels, Sarah, Chad, Kyle, Kelsey, Jenna Huth; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 3 PM to 8 PM Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Ln., New Albany). His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Friday, at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church (New Church) with visitation from 8AM until the time of service in the church. Burial will follow at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in New Albany.
