Geneva Murel Highfill, age 74 of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2014. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and loved her family dearly. She was patriotic and loved her country, and anything Elvis. There were always fond memories of her houseboat on the lake with all the family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernie R. Highfill; son, Barry Neal Highfill; and her parents, Logan and Mildred Johnson.
Geneva is survived by her loving children, Terri Hunt (Larry), Denise Redmon (Darrell) and Scott Highfill (Lisa); grandchildren, David Redmon (Crystal), Michael Fuller (Amanda), Dawn Larsen (Tim), Hallie Rock (Wes), Danni Jo Fuller, Amanda Highfill and Ashley Highfill; great-grandchildren, Tanner, Cooper, Blakley, Avery, Cannon, Cash and William; brothers, Morris "Sarge" Johnson, John Johnson and Billy Johnson. She is also survived by a host of relatives and friends.
A celebration of Geneva's life will be 2pm Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive with visitation there from 10am until time of service. Burial will be at a later date at Cave Hill Cemetery.
