Geneva E. (Baumann) Andres, 87, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2012. She was a retired bus driver for the NAFC School Corporation and the president of GEA, Inc. Geneva was a former employee of Seinshimer's in New Albany and a long-time farmer. She was also a lifetime member of the Floyd Co. Farm Bureau and a member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church in Floyds Knobs.
Geneva was born on October 5, 1925 in Floyds Knobs to the late Clyde and Elsie (Atkins) Baumann. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred P. Andres; daughter, Susan M. Andres; and grandson, Brian Andres.
She is survived by her children, Jerry Andres (Diane), Phyllis Andres (Larry Foreman), Denny Andres; brothers, Alfred (Mazie), Anthony (Mary Lou), Cletus Baumann (Jackie); grandchildren, Chad (Melissa), Denny Jr, Sammy Andres, Charlotte Elswick; great-grandchildren, Jake Andres, Denny Andres III, Tavis and Caitlin Lloyd; many nieces, nephews, and good friends.
Visitation will be from 10 AM to 8 PM Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Ln., New Albany) and after 8 AM on Thursday at the church. A Rosary will be prayed Wednesday at 1 PM. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 AM Thursday, at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church (New Church) with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
