Gene Clinton Linne, Sr.

Gene Clinton Linne, Sr., a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on November 20, 2024, at the age of 77. He was born on September 28, 1947, in New Albany, Indiana.

Gene is survived by his children, Marcia Hodges, Yvonne (Gregory) Sallee, and Gene Linne Jr. He took pride in his role as a grandfather to his grandchildren: Jessika (Lee) Fuller, Jazmen Hodges, Marcus Hodges, Kayla Sallee, Mary (Aaron) Biesel, Greg Sallee Jr., Courtney Linne, and Cory Linne. Gene was also a proud great-grandfather to 14 great-grandchildren. In addition to his immediate family, Gene is survived by his siblings, Nana Legg, Larry (Anita) Linne, Phillip Linne, Vickie Kinzie, and Darlene Willoughby..

Gene was passionate about music, especially playing the drums, which served as an expression of his creativity and a source of joy. He also delighted in taking trips to Florida, where he created lasting memories.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William Linne and Jane Kist Loughmiller; his granddaughter, Britney Maddox; and two great-grandchildren, Baby Matthew and Baby Adam.

Cremation was chosen following Gene's wishes. He will be laid to rest privately at Fairview Cemetery in New Albany.
