Gene Raymond Alcorn Sr.

Gene Raymond Alcorn Sr., 82, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022. Gene enjoyed going to Churchhill Downs and watching the horse races. He worked for Louisville Country Club in the Greens Department for many years. Gene was a hard working and devoted individual. In his later years, he enjoyed watching old Westerns on TV. Gene will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was born on July 18, 1939 in Louisville, Kentucky to William and Mary Catherine (Martin) Alcorn. He is preceded in death by his Parents, and Brothers, Eddie Alcorn, Albert Alcorn, and Bill Alcorn.

Gene is survived by his Sons, Raymond Alcorn, Jr., and Michael Alcorn, Daughters, Louise Alcorn, and Betty Sue Alcorn, Brother, Jeff Alcorn. Gene also leaves behind to cherish his memory 7 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Extended Family.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel.
