Smith, Gayle Wayne, 69, of Shelby County, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 8, 2023, under the care of Hosparus at his daughter's home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born November 18, 1953, he was a son of the late Thomas and Pearl Smith.
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Paul Smith and Tommy Smith.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, Stephanie Shepard, Timothy McKinney, Kimberly Smith and Elizabeth Staub; ten grandchildren, two sisters, Carolyn Wade and Joyce Nation; one brother, David Smith.
Visitation will be Friday, July 14, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243). A memorial service will follow at 4:00 PM.
