Gavin D. Byrd

Gavin Byrd, 24, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024. Gavin enjoyed baseball, fishing, video games, and most importantly spending time with his two girls.

He was born on July 16, 1999 in Clarksville, Indiana to Troy Byrd and Michele Nashi. He is preceded in death by his father, Troy Byrd; grandfather, Jerry Byrd; and grandfather, Thomas Nashi.

Gavin is survived by his loving mother, Michele Nashi; two daughters, Paisley and Abilene Byrd; brother, Gage Stephens; grandparents, Kevin and Vickie Ricketts and Jeanette Micca; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.

The family requests that contributions in Gavin’s memory be made to St. Jude.
