Gary Nelson Williams

Gary Nelson Williams was born August 20, 1949, in Glasgow, Kentucky. He was the oldest of three children born to the union of Eleanor Newby and Curtis Williams.
Gary attended Glasgow Public Schools and graduated from Glasgow High School. Gary attended Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky where he received his bachelor's degree, masters, and rank one. Gary spent twenty-seven years with the Jefferson County Public School system as an Art teacher, coach for various sports, and High School Guidance Counselor, and Dean.
July 13, 1985, Gary married Margaret Williams. He has one stepdaughter, Deborah Denise Love-Davis.
Other than his wife Margaret, he is survived by his sister, Beverly Brown; nieces Lauren Brown and Dr. Carla Brown Jones; his aunt, Lucille Williams Graves; and a host of cousins.
Visitation will be 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243 with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, 1600 Newburg Rd, Louisville, KY 40205.
