Gary Wendell Thompson

Gary W. Thompson, 72, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024. He was born on April 28, 1951 in Evansville, Indiana to Richard and Doris (Rowland) Thompson. He is preceded in death by his Father, Richard B. Thompson and Mother, Doris R. Thompson.

Gary was and avid outdoorsman who loved hunting deer and especially turkey. He proudly served his country in the US Army after graduating high school. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He retired from GE after 38 years.

Gary is survived by his loving family, Son, Phillip Matthew Thompson; Grandchildren, Jaden Gary Thompson, Tyler Matthew Thompson, and Makayla Marie Thompson; Sisters, Bonnie Wade, Linda Thompson, and Cindy Brooks; Ex-Wife, Becky Harper; Friend, Keith Miller; Nephews, Robert (Carmella) Wade and Joseph Wade; Niece, Elizabeth Brooks, as well as a host of family and friends to cherish his memory.
