Gary Lee Staub

Gary Lee Staub, 81, of La Grange, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023. Gary was an avid outdoorsman who loved to go fishing and tend to his flower gardens. He was a dedicated UK fan and never missed a game. He was a true family man a loving husband, father, and doting grandfather. Gary was a man of few words but he always spoke from the heart. He will truly be missed by anyone and everyone who had the honor of knowing him.

He was born on November 20, 1941 in Louisville, Kentucky to Fred and Helen (Gerhard) Staub. He is preceded in death by his Father, Fred William Staub, Mother, Helen Staub, Son, Michael E. Staub, Daughter, Renee L. Staub, Brother, Michael Staub, and Sister, Joan Staub.

Gary is survived by his loving Wife of 62 years, Barbara Staub; Sons, John (Ronda) Staub and Eric (Eileen) Staub; Grandchildren, Gary (Cheryl) Staub, Amber (Thomas) Sipes, Steven (Dorothy) Staub, and Jordan (Josh) Burt; 9 Great-Grandchildren, as well as a host of family and friends to cherish his memory forever.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Celebration of Life Service will be at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with cremation to follow.

The family requests that contributions in Gary's memory be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
