Gary Dean Kinney

Gary Dean Kinney, age 76 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023.

He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He proudly served his country and was a United States Army veteran. Gary dearly missed his brother "Mack" who was lost in Vietnam, but they are now reunited. Prior to Gary's passing he was excited and happy to see his UK CATS win! Anyone that knew Gary knew his love of softball and his grandchildren. Gary worked for Ford Motor Company in his younger years while attending college. He later went on to open his own insurance company that he worked at until retirement. Gary came out of retirement to fill some of his time working at Enterprise. He thoroughly loved and enjoyed his Enterprise family. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Avonell and Don Kinney; mother and father-in-law, Dorothy and Herman Ford; and his brother, Donald Mack Kinney.

Gary leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 54 years, Darlene Ford Kinney; daughter, Stacie Garrett (Damon); grandchildren, Shelby, Cameron and Morgan Garrett; sisters, Sandra Kay Wyatt (Mike), Michelle Jafarpour (Reza); sister-in-law, Christine Ford, and Sharon Smith (Dave); brothers, Michael Kinney (Julie), Mitchell Kinney; several nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 pm on Friday, December 1, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243. The funeral service will be private for the family.
